ONE SPACE FOR YOUR NEXT STEP

Interview preparation for banking careers.

Applying for your first teller role?

Draw on work, school, volunteering or other responsibilities to explain how you help people, stay accurate and learn new procedures.

An experienced teller preparing again?

Refresh how you describe customer care, responsibility and sound judgment. Practice specific examples instead of relying on memorized phrases.

Moving from teller to banker?

Use the story-building tools to explain transferable skills such as listening, recognizing needs and connecting customers with appropriate help. The current free lessons focus on teller interviews; use them as a foundation for your next role.

Practice bank teller interview questions in bite-size lessons.

  1. Tell your story. Connect your background to the banking role.
  2. Show customer care. Explain what you did in a real customer service situation.
  3. Explain sound judgment. Talk through accuracy, responsibility and handling uncertainty.
  4. Make your interest specific. Research the employer and explain why the opportunity fits.

Build a STAR answer, try a mock interview, and download your personal answer pack. The guided Jay Get It video workshop adds four opportunities to pause and practice.
